The Okeya 165 mm Bunka Gin-3 is a remarkable knife from the renowned Japanese forge Okeya, located in Miki City, Japan. This knife is designed to meet the needs of both professional chefs and food enthusiasts. With its 3-layer construction, with Gin-3 as the core steel and a stainless cladding, it offers a perfect balance between sharpness and durability. The beautiful tsuchime (hammered) finish on the blade not only adds an aesthetic touch but also reduces friction when cutting, making cooking more efficient.

With 13% chromium in its composition, this knife is both easy to sharpen and resistant to rust, which ensures long-lasting sharpness. Maintenance and use

To ensure the knife's long-lasting sharpness and quality, we recommend avoiding the dishwasher and not cutting hard items such as bones, cartilage, frozen foods and hard cheeses. Please note that the thin, hard metal can be brittle, so handle it with care.

Maintenance & use

Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.

Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
