Description & specifications

Sakai Kikumori has been making knives since 1926, and since then they have become known as a top brand from Sakai. They work together with some incredibly skilled blacksmiths and grinders who, in collaboration, create some fantastic products.

The Asagiri series is forged by the legendary Yoshikazu Tanaka, who is recognized as one of the best, if not the best blacksmith in Sakai. It is built in 3 layers with White #2 in the core and a stainless cladding.

The knife is a Bunka and can be used for smaller pieces of meat, fish, and vegetables.

Maintenance & use

Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.

Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
